Sharks Teeth Fossils

A whole collection of sharks teeth of every size from $5.00 up.

A tooth becomes a fossil when it is buried in sediment (or other material) soon after being lost from a shark's mouth.  The sediment precludes oxygen and harmful bacteria from reaching the tooth and destroying it.  The general fossilization process varies greatly depending on the exact situation.  In general it takes approximately 10,000 years for a tooth to become a true fossil. Many of our shark teeth fossils are from Mako sharks.

The teeth we sell range between 3 and 10 million years old!

Mammal Fossils

A huge variety of mammal fossils including mammoths and other ancient animals.

We have found most of a mammoth including the tusks. We have whale bone fossils, horses teeth and foot bone fossils. Also alligator teeth and scutes and armadillo scutes. We even have Bison teeth. A scute is the scale like underside of certain animals such as gators, tortoises and armadillos. We have tapir fossils too! A tapir is an ancient animal that resembles a pig but is actually part of the rhino family. Long gone from North America, they can still be found in Asia.

Echinoid Fossils

A huge variety of undersea creatures such as seabiscuit fossils and sea urchins from only $5.

An echinoid fossil is a sea urchin while a crinoid fossil is a sea lily or feather star. We have found many of these and they make a very attractive piece for your mantle or coffee table.

Seabiscuits are also known as sand dollars and are very attractive fossils.
